ANSI MY017 USB2.0 OPTICAL PROBE

     

             MY017 USB2.0 to ANSI IR optical probe is used for local serial communication using infrared communication between Round Socket Kwh Meters (meters or other equipment) with optical interface on one side and a PC or HHU (Hand-Held Units) with USB2.0 interface on the other side. on the other. The converter/optical probe parameters fulfill all technical requirements on data transmission in accordance with the standard ANSI C12.18-1996.

  The optical probe has a infrared transmit and a infrared receive diode. The optical probe is fitted with a N38 permanent magnet, which ensures that the probe remains attached on the round socket kWh meter during data collection. Data is transferred via an infrared light using serial two-way communication.
